Posted on November 30th, 2008It’s a rainy sunday morning and I am getting up early today to begin creating some of the most beautiful, handmade, one of a kind jewelry for the upcoming events! (That is after I get a run in on my treadmill) This holiday season you can expect to see an array of some of the most vivid colors, lots of crystals, and lariats galore! I have been getting such an amazing response from them it’s incredible. For those of you who may not know what they are…they are a single silk strand of crystals, stones, pearls, and or other various materials hand-knotted onto silk. A lariat can either wrap around your neck once or twice, be worn long or short, hang in the front, or down the back of a sexy open back dress…They are truly unique!
I recently custom designed a lariat for a client. She wanted it to be all peridot, VERY sparkly, on a light green silk. It came out absolutely amazing! There are over 150 crystals and it is adorned with light mint green fresh water pearls. I love doing custom pieces.
